Could it be you?

Scouting is one of the greatest movements the world has ever known.  Scouts have walked on the moon, rowed across oceans and scaled the highest mountains.

But, closer to home, the 1st Bernwood Forest Scout Group offers adventures and experiences to more than 120 young people in the area around Long Crendon and Dinton.

We are only able to offer these experiences because of our enthusiastic and dedicated team of volunteer Leaders and supporters.  We are ordinary people making extraordinary things happen for young people in our area.

Behind every great Scout, there is a great Scout Leader - could that be you?

We are currently recruiting for adults, young and old, to become Leaders, Assistant Leaders and Supporters of our Group and for our Beaver, Cub and Scout units – no previous experience of Scouting is necessary as training is provided.  If you have a few hours a week, or a fortnight, and an occasional weekend, Scouting can give you adventure, fun and new skills.
No time for a weekly commitment?  We are looking for someone to act as our Group Secretary, a role which only needs a couple of hours every month or so at Group Executive meetings.  There is no need for you to have a child in Scouts, only enthusiasm and a willingness to share that enthusiasm with young people.
See our website at bernwoodforestscouts.webs.com for more information about what 1st Bernwood Forest Scout Group offers to young people in our area.
