Mobile Library
This will visit The Bell car park in the village on Monday March 30th from 1.10pm to 1.35. Please be aware that, due to Easter, the next time the Mobile Library comes to Chearsley will be April 27th.

Easter at The Bell
The Bell is holding an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 12th. Come and start hunting for easter eggs in the garden at The Bell from 12pm.

Neighbourhood Policing
You can pick up the latest newsletter for our district from Chearsley tearooms. This states that there have been very few crimes reported over the past weeks, but reminds us to be aware of thefts from vehicles and that vehicle number plates are a popular item to steal. There is also an appeal for a Community First Responder – a member of the public who would be able to help in a medical emergency before the arrival of an emergency ambulance, trained by South Central Ambulance Service. If you feel this is you, please contact the 24hour information line on 0800 587 0207 or email cfr@scas.nhs.uk.

News of John Grimsdell
John, the eldest son of Sue and Peter, past Landlords of The Bell, has started a 6 month tour of duty in Afghanistan, based in the town of Musa Qal’eh, “the green zone” with 40 Regt Royal Artillery where he is a forwards operations officer. We wish him well, and also for his forthcoming wedding to Heidi Stennings from Haddenham in November.

Volunteering at Waddesdon Manor
If you find yourself with time on your hands, you may be interested in becoming a volunteer at Waddesdon Manor. There are various opportunities to help out, particularly selling raffle tickets. This has become an important role, raising extra funds for particular projects. It is a wonderful way of becoming part of this magnificent property on our doorstep. Phone Liz Wilkinson, volunteer co-ordinator on 01296 653307 (email: Liz.Wilkinson@nationaltrust.org.uk) for more information.
