Litter Pick
A reminder and plea to ask as many people as possible to come for a very short time on Saturday 30th October to help clean up all the village lanes. Please meet at The Bell at 9.30am.

Pumpkin Night
This takes place at The Bell on Thursday  evening, 28th October. Weighing of the pumpkins will take place in the bar when all pumpkins have arrived!  Come along with or without a pumpkin and support this village tradition.

Remembrance Day Poppies
Sue Grimsdell, as she has done for  many years, will be coming round to all houses in Chearsley starting on Saturday, October 30th for you to buy a poppy and support the work of the Royal  British Legion.  Poppies will already be on sale at other outlets, but house sales are only authorized from October 30th until 14th November. This work is close to Sue’s heart as her Grandfather lost a leg in World War I, and two of her children, Richard and John have served in the army in Iraq and Afghanistan. Please support her and give generously to this worthy cause.

Halloween at The Tea Room
Sunday 31st October from 2.00 till 4.00pm is Halloween fun for children. Come in costume and play games, decorate cookies and win a prize for the best Halloween picture. Cost is £2.50 per child. Pizza and pop will be available at an extra charge.

Christmas  Meals in Chearsley
The Tea rooms and The Bell now have their Christmas menus available for December. Call in and pick up a menu.

Nativity Play in Chearsley – Tuesday 21st December at 6pm
Children of Chearsley will be presenting their own Nativity play at St Nicholas church on this evening, to which everyone is invited. Children can come along at 3pm for rehearsals, craft activities and a picnic tea. After the performance, there will be mulled wine and mince pies for the audience.  The event is in aid of the charity Habitat for Humanity which the children have been supporting this year. Some of them  have been busy making a number of small items which will be on sale after the Nativity.  If any children, aged 4 plus would like to take part, please contact Julia Witcher on 201776 or Sharon Sampson on 208740. Adult and teenage volunteers will be much appreciated.
