All set for Super Sixes!

Chearsley’s annual ‘cricketfest’ is all set to go on Bank Holiday Monday (30th May) as the club stages its popular ‘six-a-side’ tournament.

Eight teams will battle it out all day for honours in the exciting match format contested over five overs, with each member of the fielding team bowling an over each, apart from the wicket-keeper.

Last year’s winners, Morris Motors of Oxford, will be returning to defend their crown and the full list of teams will be:

• Chearsley
• Chearsley Under 19′s
• Horspath ‘A’
• Horspath ‘B’
• Morris Motors
• Long Crendon
• Babington Superstars
• Young Farmers

The tournament starts at 10.00 and the final will be played at 7.30. The bar will be open all day and there’ll be a barbecue running from the start, with late breakfasters/early lunchers in mind. The Bucks Herald will also be present to take some photos on the day.
