Rosemary Wallis’s funeral
A lovely suggestion for everyone who would like to attend the funeral for Rosemary on Tuesday May 9 at 12.30 is to pick a sprig of rosemary from your garden and wear it in her memory. If you are unable to attend, why not just pick some rosemary and think of her.

Bingo at The Bell
will be held on Tuesday May 2 with Eyes Down around 8.30pm. Good cash prizes to be won.

Chearsley W.I .Meeting
Their next monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday May 16 in the village hall. Learn about how you can play a part in future spending in the NHS, especially in our local GP Practices by joining the W.I. members when they will welcome Colin Seaton of Aylesbury Vale Clinical Commissioning Group as their guest speaker. Everyone is welcome to attend and to enjoy tea and homemade cakes. There is a charge of £5 for non-members

Chuf Summer Party
Chearsley and Haddenham Under Fives will be holding a Summer Party in Chearsley village hall on Sunday May 21 from 2 to 4pm. Come and enjoy a fun afternoon and help raise money for Chuf funds. There will be a BBQ, face painting, bouncy castle, tombolas, pottery painting, games and optional pirates fancy dress. The cost is £5 per participating child, but free for adults and includes fun on the bouncy castle and all soft play, refreshments of drinks and strawberries and a party bag. Please contact Gemma on 07917 665633 for more information.

New Village Hall Fund
There is still £60,000 left to raise to ensure that our new hall will be built and ready for activities and events next year. The Village Hall committee is now inviting everyone to make a cash donation to achieve this sum. The names of all donors will be recognised in the Giving Tree which will be permanently placed inside the front entrance to serve as a reminder of your generosity and community spirit for years to come. If you are able to donate, the best method is by visiting the dedicated fundraising page at www.make-a-donation.org, and search for Chearsley Village Hall. Gift aid can also be claimed on your donation. Alternatively, a bank transfer can be made or a cheque or cash donation given to one of the committee members, Alex Wall Morris, Antonia Stratford, Angela Gray or John Lewis.

Cream Teas at Nether Winchendon
If you missed the cream teas at Nether Winchendon this weekend, they will again be available during the next Bank Holiday weekend, May 28 to 29 from 2.30 to 5pm.

Brown Bins A reminder that the brown bins will be collected on Monday May 8th (not the 6th as previously advised).
