New Shop Front
On Sunday May 6, a refurbishment of the shop front will be carried out. The shop will be open the usual opening hours, but there will be disruption on the shop forecourt and access may be restricted at times.

Old Chairs for free
New tables and chairs have been purchased for our new hall and 20 of the hall’s old chairs are now free for collection from the hall car park. Help yourself as soon as possible as if still there on Wednesday May 9, they will be “tidied up”.

Bank Holiday Weekend
It looks as if the sun is going to shine this weekend. An opportunity to take a break from mowing the grass in your garden to enjoy a drink in the sunshine in the lovely garden of the The Bell which is now open all day Saturdays and Sundays. There will be the usual Meat Raffle on Sunday afternoon and the monthly Sunday Quiz at 8pm.

Soul Spark in Chearsley Church Saturday May 12 – Sunday May20th An opportunity for individual quiet and reflection. The Church is open all day and welcome for everyone. Soul Spark is intended as a way into our inner experiences and the spirit deep within us. Take time away from busy schedules to reflect on your life and what matters most to you as you wander round the various “stations” in the Church and let them help you to focus on particular areas of life’s experiences.

Celebrating 50 years of Chuf on Saturday May 19 at Chearsley Village Hall. Come and help celebrate 5 decades of Chuf Preschool at this all day Fest. For the children from 3pm to 6.30pm there will be games, talent workshops, music and dance performances (3 to 16 year olds), Prince and Princess costume and face painting for this special Royal Day plus fun with Musical Mayhem. Tickets are £5 per child with free entry for adults.
From 6.30pm until 10.30pm Chuf is presenting a Golden Evening with guest appearance from Tony Hadley who will be performing an acoustic set, plus local band and disco. Tickets for this are £15 per adult. There will be food vans and refreshments available and a licensed bar showing the FA Cup Final – something for the whole family. Chearsley Cricket Club
94 Juniors braved the cold wind on Tuesday at the Cricket Club, including 48 girls aged from 6 to 15, to enjoy the coaching skills of Ignite Sports. The Aunt Sally Team are hoping to start their season with a win on Wednesday May 2nd when they play The Red Cow. The Under 13 Boys are playing at home against Thame Town on Thursday May 3 at 6pm. At the weekend, Chearsley 1st XI have their first game at home to Dinton 2nds, starting at 12.30pm while Chearsley 2nd XI are away to Thame Town 4ths. Good Luck to all teams.

Cuddington Sunshine Club Matinee Cinema
The film “Lion” made in 2016, starring Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman and Rooney Mara will be shown at The Bernard Hall, Cuddington on Monday May 21 at 1.30pm with doors open at 1pm. The film is about the true story of a foundling Indian boy, estranged from his home village and growing up far from home. 25 years later, he locates his mother via Google earth. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy this delightful, heartfelt film in front of a big screen in comfortable seats.
