The "Showstopper" cakes were really impressive,
especially this one made by a child - Tiffany

Justin Chantry won the super competitive Men's Jam Tarts, but congratulations should go to Freddie W for competing with the grown ups with this fine entry:

As our resident retired baker Keith is gradually teaching the men of the village to bake bread, I'm sure the "bread" category will become as hotly competitive as the jam tarts.  This year Darren Sampson's entry won.

"
The children's fairy cakes were very imaginative as usual.

and likewise for the "Garden on a plate", won by this entry from Harry L

and the boiled eggs were all eggselent!

Best arrangement to celebrate the 90th birthday of the Queen was won by Julia Pountney, with Anne Lewis also entering a beautiful arrangement.

Ineta Green had a fine specimen rose

and John Lewis a great close up

matched by little Elsie's jellyfish

 and Freddie's sunset

Many thanks to Joy Payne and her team for organising the event and providing lovely tea and cakes.
