CPR and Defibrillator unit training classes
2 more sessions have been arranged to take place in October for training in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation ) and use of the village Defibrillator unit which is stationed outside The Bell. These will take place on Wednesday October 17 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Odyssey (next to The Old Vicarage) and Saturday October 20 from 9am to 11am at the Village Hall.A further session will be planned for November. If you would like to attend either of the October sessions, or be interested in coming to one in November, please send an email to defib.team@chearsley.com

Hedge at The Village Hall
The Village Hall Committee are looking for someone to trim the Village Hall hedge. Would this be of interest to anyone in the village? The hedge needs cutting now and the job would be suitably remunerated. Please contact Antonia on antoniastratford40@gmail.com as soon as possible if you can help.

October at The Bell
Bingo Monthly: Bingo starts again on Tuesday 2nd. Get your dobbers ready and prepare for a good evening with the chance to win some good cash prizes. Bingo players can eat beforehand for £7.50. Email Sharon to book your table. Eyes Down is at 8.45pm. There is a raffle during the interval with the proceeds going to the current Bell charity.
Quiz Night starts again on Sunday October 7th starting between 8 to 8.30pm. Friendly teams and plenty of banter with refreshments during the break. Come on your own or in a team.
Halloween Time with something for everyone:
Halloween Disco on Saturday October 27 8 till late with a mixture of music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Come dressed to scare and daring to try a Halloween themed cocktail. Gin and Deadly Nightshade sounds tempting. More information available from Sharon.
Pumpkin Carving on Monday October 29 The Pumpkin contest is a bit different this year when pumpkin carving will take place at The Bell between 6.30 and 7.30pm. Pumpkins will be supplied. Anyone of any age is welcome to take part, individual entries or as a team. Please contact Sharon if you are interested in showing off your pumpkin carving skills.
Halloween for the children: Wednesday October 31st Party at The Bell from 4.30pm to 6.00pm. Scary fun, spooks, games and food. Choose from jacket potato, hot dog or fish fingers. Please buy a ticket from Sharon beforehand, £5 per child.
