Wedding Congratulations
Catherine Bottomley, daughter of Howard and Helen, married Mark Owens in Wales on Saturday 27th August. Congratulations and every good wish for their future together.

The Bell Summer Party
First reports of this Summer extravaganza held on Saturday 27th are that it was a great success. The unmistakable sounds of the Steel Band and later the wonderful voice of Alvin as Elvis wafted over the village on a thankfully fine night. Well done to Ollie and Sharon for their hard work in putting on such a good night.

Quiz Night at The Bell
This will next take place on Sunday 11th at 7.30pm with the winning team from last time, Tina, Jamie, John and Sarah providing the questions. Please contact The Bell if you would like to take part.

Chearsley Cricket Club and the Rugby World Cup
The Club has recently acquired a 42” plasma screen and they will be screening a number of key matches from the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand on Saturday and Sunday mornings during September and October. Breakfast will be available half an hour before kick off, comprising a bacon roll and tea or coffee at a cost of £3.

The first matches to be screened are on Saturday 10th September, England vs Argentina and Sunday 11th September, Wales vs South Africa. Kick off at 9.30am.

Chearsley v Cuddington Boules Rematch

This will take place at Cuddington Boules Pitch, Cuddington Playing Fields, on Saturday September 17th at 2pm. Nic Brown, Chairman of Chearsley Parish Council is looking for players to be part of a hopefully winning team. Parish Council Meeting
There is a Parish Council meeting on Monday 12th September in the village hall at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.

This will next be at The Bell carpark on Monday 12th September from 12.20 until 12.45pm.
