Classic Car Show

Chearsley Village Classic & Vintage Show

The final plans are being put in place for this year’s Classic & Vintage Show up at the club. It’ll take place on Sunday 8th September and the event will be formally opened by Greg Smith MP at 11.00 am

Our latest estimates suggest that we’ll have somewhere between 450 and 500 vehicles exhibiting and, as usual, an excellent attendance from the general public.

In addition to the usual programme, we’ll be introducing a few changes this year, including a wider range of specialist food trucks, offering a great range of ‘street food’ and refreshments. Larry Warr and his Déja Vu band will be back to provide our live musical entertainment.

Many have already volunteered again to help ‘on the day’ and this support is much appreciated. However, we’re still looking out for more volunteers – particularly to help with the parking, BBQ and collection of donations.

So if you are available to help or know of others who can, please get in touch with Adam Lazaruk (Adam@rglsurveys.co.uk) or John Howard (jnh@dbmc.co.uk).

We’re also on the lookout for prizes for our Bottle Tombola – so if you’ve any bottles to spare, please drop them off at my house (Great Barn, School Lane) or with Terry Gadsby (Little Orchard, Church Lane) or Adam Lazaruk (The Old Grainstore, Crendon Road) or up at the club – any donations you’re able to make would be sincerely appreciated.

Finally, a reminder that all funds raised on the day will go to supporting our cricket club, a great community asset, with particular focus on the development of Junior Cricket, and once again we’ll also be making a series of donations to local charities, including the Chearsley Village Trust.
