About 80 adults and children had a wonderful day on Saturday 21st May. The
adults sat around and caught up with friends or met new neighbours while the
children made giant junk models, played with water, painted each other's faces
and rode in wheelbarrows.
At lunchtime everyone shared a barbeque with some
delicious salads, desserts and cakes. This was followed by a scavenger hunt for
items such as a left trainer, a dead fly and a rabbit dropping! Then there was
a close run tug of war contest between the girls/ladies and boys/men over a
paddling pool.
The whole day was finished off by burning the cardboard junk
models and toasting marshmallows over the embers. A wonderful time was had by
all. Many thanks to Paul & Ann Persson who lent us their garden for the
day.
