You may be aware that a small group of Chearsley residents (Anne Adams, John Cragg, Sarah Turnbull and John Howard) got together earlier this year to discuss the possibility of starting a project, which would build on the work of Ted Hooton’s wonderful book, “Chearsley – Living Through History” and bring the story up to the present day.
Following these discussions, a ‘Historic Chearsley’ exhibition will take place at the Village Hall on Sunday 2nd June.
A number of fascinating resources will be on display and all Chearsley residents are invited to share anything which might be of interest and add to our understanding of Chearsley’s fascinating heritage. For example, photos, family memorabilia or reminiscences.
We are also delighted to announce that Ann Hooton, wife of Ted and a major contributor to his wonderful book ‘Chearsley – Living Through History’ will be joining us on the day.
If you have anything that would contribute to our exhibition, we would be delighted to receive it, or if you would be interested in joining our group, please contact any of the following:
