Remembrance Sunday takes place in a few weeks’ time and once again we
have a team of volunteers who’ll be calling on homes in the village to collect
donations for the Royal British Legion ‘Poppy Appeal 2023’.
The village collection will start on Thursday 26th October, so you can
expect a visit from one of our volunteers – Alex How, Geoff Olding, Gill Wight,
Karen Vear, Ruth Holland or yours truly.
Sharon will also be organising a collection at The Bell from that date.
Our Church will again be organising a special service at the War
Memorial on Remembrance Sunday (12th November) and this will be followed by
refreshments at The Village Hall, during which there will be an exhibition of
memorabilia, provided by a number within our community.
More details will be published shortly and we would of course be
delighted if any in our community would also like to share any of their own
memories.
