Chearsley W.I meet on Tuesday 16th February at the Village Hall at 2.00pm when Bob Harding-Jones will be speaking on “Laughter in the Village”. He is a writer and performer and has worked at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and The Comedy Store. Non-members are welcome to attend at a cost of £2.
Bingo at The Bell
All tables were taken and the bar crowded at another lively Bingo evening at The Bell on Tuesday, 2nd February. A good fun evening. We are all getting to know the Bingo Lingo with the help of a few noisy veteran bingo goers and Paul, our admirable caller, aided and abetted by Andy, - One little duck for Number 2, Doctor’s orders (why this for number 9?) Droopy Drawers for 44 and Halfway There for 45, to mention a few. Come along to the next session on Tuesday, March 2nd for an 8pm start and learn a few more nicknames, and maybe win a bit of money.
Cuddington Youth Drama
Peter Pan is being performed by this drama group, which includes several Chearsley youngsters, at The Bernard Hall, Cuddington from February 16th to 21st. Please phone 01296 299129 for more information or to buy tickets.
Vegetable Growing with Mike and Hazel.
This scheme is for youngsters in Chearsley between 7 and 15 who would like to start growing their own vegetables on their own plot. Mike Heybrook and Hazel Hall would like to offer their invaluable experience and advice. Please ring Mike on 01844 208393 for more information or to offer to help.
