Community Message

This is a Community Message from Aylesbury Watch Office on Tuesday 30 March 2010.

Police have received several reports, some from elderly residents in Aylesbury Vale, of people calling, claiming to be from the National Crime Survey and asking if they can visit residents to check their security.

Please warn all watch members, particularly elderly residents, not to invite or let people into their homes who cold call, wanting to check their security. If you are suspicious of any personal callers do not allow them entry and call the Police immediately.

If you would like security advice either visit our website www.thamesvalley.police.uk or call your local Crime Reduction Advisor on 0845 8 505 505. If you know of any elderly residents that would like to get help with security measures being fitted via Aylesbury Vale District Councils 'Home Service', call the Home Service on 01296 585510.
