This is next in the village by The Green on Monday 29th March from 1.10 to 1.35pm.

Geoff and Frankie White
It is sad to say goodbye to Geoff and Frankie who have lived in the same house in Chearsley for the past 38 years. We wish them all the very best in their new house and we look forward to welcoming the new occupants, Mr and Mrs. Chantrey and family, very soon.

Litter Pick
An unsurprisingly small number of villagers turned up for the litter pick on Saturday 13th, but it was a very pleasant morning to tidy up Chearsley lanes. Please help to keep our village litter free in future!

Quiz Night in Chearsley
Cuddington and Dinton School are organizing a Quiz Night on Saturday 27th March in Chearsley village hall, at 7.30 for a 7.45 start. Tickets are £5 each. There will be a licensed bar. Everyone is welcome to come along, in a team of up to 8 or on your own. Please contact Angela Gray on 07794290264 or mandy_spencer@hotmail.com

Filming of Fenella
A television documentary on Channel 4 on the Battle of Fromelles will feature Fenella Tillier of School Lane, who has a wealth of archive material of photos and letters of this time. Her Great Uncle Charles Phipps died during this battle which took place on 19th and 20th July 1916. Recently a pit of about 500 bodies has been found in Pheasant Wood, France where a new memorial to these soldiers will be commemorated in July. So a film crew, who are interested in families who lost relatives in this battle, has been in Fenella’s house interviewing her and looking at her family mementos of this time. We await to hear from Fenella when she knows when her programme will be shown.
