Jubilee Thanks
One criteria which the Jubilee committee aimed for was to make the Jubilee celebrations a free event for the village. Many villagers are to be thanked for all their time and effort. The carousel which completed the perfect village green day was sponsored by generous donations from Chearsley Village Stores, Mark and Jan Haynes, Birks Motor Sport, Tina Rogers, Hester-Clarke, Lyn and Ted Frankland, Ann and John Lewis, Nic Brown and Fred and Jacky Crawford. The Jubilee Committee would like to thank them for their generosity.
Armed Forces Day – Fly A Flag June 30
June 30 2012 will be the fourth Armed Forces Day when the whole nation is invited to show support for our military community both serving and retired at home and abroad. Last year, Armed Forces Day attracted many thousands of people to events to show support and appreciation. We are being asked to fly the Armed Forces Flag during the week commencing Monday 25th June. Recycling
Baskets for recycling and boxes for glass will next be collected on Tuesday June 26.
