Ferret Racing at Chearsley Cricket Club
Back by popular demand is a Family Afternoon out at the Cricket Club on Sunday July 29. Entry is free for everyone and everyone is welcome. Gates are open at 12.00pm with the first of 6 ferret race starting at 1.30pm. There will be on course betting facilities. The bar will be open from 12, serving real ales. We have been promised that the sun will shine and it will be a great day to enjoy the barbeque, bouncy castle for the children and an opportunity to meet and stroke the ferrets, and maybe back the winning ferret. Please contact Sonia Timberlake on 01844 208959 or email soniat@fsmail.net for more information.

Mobile Library
This will next be in Chearsley by The Green on Monday July 30 from 12.20 to 12.45.

Jubilee photos
It is planned that the photos taken of the village at the Jubilee Party will shortly be available to be viewed via Chearsley.com and at the village shop with information on how to obtain copies.

Superfast Broadband
If your current broadband speed doesn’t meet your needs, you can do something about it by visiting www.superfastforbucks.org and backing your Bucks County Council’s campaign to bring superfast broadband to Bucks. By registering your demand for superfast broadband which is free and only takes a few minutes, you will be helping Bucks County Council and Buckinghamshire Business First demonstrate to broadband providers that there is a strong demand for superfast connectivity here. Register by September 1 and you will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win an iPad.

Changes to Refuse and recycling services starting in September
We have all received letters concerning forthcoming changes to collection of our bins and recycling. During the next few weeks we should receive the new bins, but it must be emphasized that these should not be used until the new system begins in September. Our first new collection day will be Friday September 7 when the new food waste bin and refuse bin will be collected. The following Friday, the new bin with a blue lid for all recycling materials will be collected. We will be given an information leaflet to explain the new recycling system and how to use the bins and a calendar to remind us.

The same teacher then takes a Tai Chi – For Arthritis Beginners from 10.45 until 11.45 followed by Tai Chi – For Arthritis Intermediate. All classes start on Monday September 24 and cost £55 for 11 weeks. For more information on more courses visit www.adultlearningbcc.ac.uk, or phone 0845 045 4040.
