The Parish Council has decided to postpone the Commercial Vehicle Survey from the originally planned date in the coming week (Thursday 9th July) to a new date:
Thursday 23rd July
(8.00 – 18.00 hours)
The latest advice received indicates that the Crendon Road will either be closed or have restricted access for several more days this week during completion of the roadworks and it is crucial that the survey takes place during ‘normal’ traffic conditions.
All other aspects of the survey will remain as indicated previously.
The day will be divided into two hour ‘slots’ from 8am through the day to 6pm and the main task will be to record the entry and exit roads used by all vehicles travelling through the village.
Some residents have kindly volunteered to help with data registration for the survey, but there are still a number of slots which need to be filled.
The results of the survey will provide vital documentation for the PC discussions with all parties in working to minimise the number of HGV journeys through the village in the years ahead.
If you are available to help on 23rd July, please advise John Howard by email – jnh@dbmc.co.uk
A more detailed briefing will be provided before the day itself, including all relevant advice on ‘social distancing’.
