Good wishes
To John Daishe of School Lane, and Ron Oliver of Bernards Close,  who  have both  recently been in hospital.  All the best to them both with hopes that they are now back home.

Chearsley Cricket Club

On Sunday, 30th May, Chearsley Cricket Club hosted its first ever “representative” match between Bucks Under 14's and Cambridge Under 14's. Despite a stiff breeze, everyone had a great day, with the visitors winning a 45 over game by 8 wickets.  The Club was pleased to received rave reviews from the Bucks representatives.
On Bank Holiday Monday, 31st May, the Club held the usual 6-a-side trophy with 7 teams participating. Horspath ”B” team beat last year’s winners Morris Motors in a very close final. Despite a lack of sun, it was a good day and the club hopes to have made about £500.  A busy weekend for the Club.

Chearsley W.I.
Everyone is invited to enjoy a cream tea  on Thursday, 10th June at 3pm at the  home of Joc Faulkner, at 2 Old Plough Close. Proceeds in aid of charity.
Their next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 15th  in Chearsley Village Hall,  which will be open to visitors, when their speaker, Graham Laurie will give a talk on “The History of Royal Flying”.  There is a charge to visitors of £2.50 to include tea and cake. The talk will start at 2.40pm.

Recycling

Recycling baskets (not  glass) will next be collected on Tuesday, 15th June.

Nether Winchendon Fete – Saturday 12th June
Nether Winchendon are holding their annual fête from 2–4pm in the grounds of Nether Winchendon House.  Come along for a splendid afternoon with all the usual attractions.

St. Nicholas Church, Chearsley – Sunday 13th June
Songs of Praise at 6pm invites us to choose our favourite song and relate the reason why. Please get in touch with John Scholefield on 208402 for more information.

Father’s Day – 20th June
Don’t forget that The Bell are offering a two course meal at a set price. The usual menu will be available as well as some Father’s Day specials.
