Save our Surgery Update

INVITATION TO A VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

Save Our Surgery, together with Unity Health and Long Crendon Parish Council would like to invite you to register to take part in an online public meeting about the plans to build a new community health and wellbeing centre at Greenings, Long Crendon. The meeting will be hosted by the Save our Surgery Group, with a panel of representatives from the Parish Council and Unity Health as well as Alex Bond, from PCMS Design who is developing the plans.

At the meeting there will be information about the proposed building design, which we are hoping to submit to the planning department in March. This centre is envisaged as a community resource for the health and wellbeing of all the residents of Long Crendon and the surrounding areas, and will secure the future of a health service which is located in the village. We need the support of as many people as possible to ensure the proposals move swiftly through the planning process so that the building work can commence before the crucial deadline in December. We will tell you more about how you can help at the meeting and in further communications afterwards. Please spread the word to your friends and neighbours.

The meeting will be online, via Zoom starting at 11am on Saturday, February 27.We are keen to hear your thoughts and welcome questions for the panel which ideally should be submitted prior to the meeting using the Save our Surgery (SOS) group’s email (see below). There will be the opportunity to submit questions and comments on the day via the Zoom chat facility. Spaces are limited, so please register to attend via the following email: soscrendon@gmail.com - you will be sent a link, code and details on how to join the meeting. You can also check for updates and contact Save our Surgery through our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/LCSOSgroup/ We hope to welcome as many people as possible to this public meeting. We need to spread the word that access to healthcare in this community is still at risk and we need your support more than ever to ensure that this exciting project to provide a new health and wellbeing centre in the village is successful.
